What you'll be doing 

  • Collaborating with data architects and stakeholders to understand data requirements 
  • Designing and implementing data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources 
  • Developing and maintaining data warehouses and data storage systems
  • Writing complex SQL queries to perform data analysis and support business needs 
  • Implementing data quality and data validation processes to ensure data accuracy 
  • Troubleshooting and resolving data pipeline issues and performance bottlenecks 
  • Monitoring data systems and ensuring data availability and integrity 
  • Creating and maintaining documentation for data engineering processes and workflows
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in data engineering technologies 

Requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role 
  • C1/C2 English Level proficiency (both written and spoken English)
  • Strong proficiency in data modeling and database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL)
  • Familiarity with data integration and ETL tools (e.g., Apache NiFi, Talend) 
  • Experience with data warehousing and data storage solutions (e.g., Redshift, Hadoop) 
  • Knowledge of data quality and data governance principles 
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams 

Preferred candidates will have advanced skills in data engineering and a deep understanding of big data technologies. They will possess experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and have a track record of successfully delivering complex data engineering projects. Familiarity with data visualization tools and experience in the tech or software industry would be advantageous. 

We offer a full-time, US-hours remote job, 40-hour workweek Mon-Fri, with excellent prospects for long-term growth for an ambitious experienced Data Engineer II. We can offer HMO and other benefits to Philippine candidates.
