As a Lead Robotics Software Engineer - Linux/Kernel Development, you will play a pivotal role in leading the design and development of software solutions for robotic systems. What you'll be doing 

  • Leading the design and development of software for robotic systems
  • Implementing and optimizing software algorithms for robotics 
  • Collaborating with hardware engineers on system integration 
  • Conducting performance analysis and optimization of robotic software 
  • Debugging and troubleshooting software and hardware issues 
  • Managing and mentoring a team of software engineers
  • Defining and enforcing software development standards and best practices 
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define project requirements 
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in robotics and kernel development 

Requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Lead Robotics Software Engineer or in a similar leadership role 
  • Proficiency in Linux and kernel development 
  • C1/C2 English Level proficiency (both written and spoken English) 
  • Strong understanding of robotics software and algorithms 
  • Experience in system integration and software architecture
  • Familiarity with robotic frameworks and middleware 
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment 

Preferred candidates will have experience in developing robotic systems, knowledge of embedded systems and real-time operating systems, and familiarity with ROS (Robot Operating System). Strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for innovation are also desirable qualities. 

We offer a full-time, US-hours remote job, 40-hour workweek Mon-Fri, with excellent prospects for long-term growth for an ambitious experienced Lead Robotics Software Engineer - Linux/Kernel Development. We can offer HMO and other benefits to Philippine candidates.
